How to Use 3rd-party KONTAKT, INTAKT or KOMPAKT Libraries in KONTAKT

In order to use a 3rd-party sample library powered by the KONTAKT PLAYER 1 or 2, INTAKT or KOMPAKT, in the latest version of KONTAKT, please follow these steps:

Launch KONTAKT and click on the Libraries tab in the Files browser, then click on "Add Library" (only available in KONTAKT 3.5.0 or higher).

A prompt appears where you have to navigate to the appropriate library folder, then press "Choose".

The library box will appear in the KONTAKT Libraries browser tab afterwards (at top left of the KONTAKT interface).

If the product is not yet activated, a small "Activate" button appears in the top-right corner of the library box. When you click on it, SERVICE CENTER is started automatically. Follow the onscreen instructions in order to activate the library on the computer. When the activation is completed, the patches can be loaded in KONTAKT.

Please note that there are currently two KONTAKT versions available, the full version and the  free KONTAKT PLAYER version.

If you need  more flexibility and dedicated editing options, you could purchase the KONTAKT 4 crossgrade from our webshop (available for KOMPAKT, INTAKT or KONTAKT PLAYER customers at the lower crossgrade price).

If you simply need a player which can load your patches and you don't need extra functionality, please download the free KONTAKT PLAYER from our website. You can load all of your INTAKT, KOMPAKT and KONTAKT PLAYER patches in this software version.
