My software does not appear in the plug-in list of Logic 7/8 - (Mac)

If you have an Intel-Mac

It might be that your software version is not compatible to Intel Mac computers. That is why it does not show up in Logic. It would show up in Logic when you opened Logic in Rosetta mode though (which we do not recommend).

Please update your software to the latest version in order to get an Intel-compatible version (so called "universal binary").

For discontinued products where no intel-compatible updates have been released, you will need to upgrade your software in order to get an Intel-compatible version:
  • If you have ABSYNTH 1/2/3 you need the upgrade to ABSYNTH 4
  • If you have BATTERY 1/2 you need the upgrade to BATTERY 3
  • If you have REAKTOR 3/4 you need the upgrade to REAKTOR 5
  • If you have Pro-52 you need to upgrade to Pro-53 for OS X or higher
  • If you have B4 v1 you need to upgrade to B4 II
  • If you have GUITAR RIG 1 you need to upgrade to GUITAR RIG 3
  • If you have ELEKTRIK PIANO 1.0 you need to upgrade to ELEKTRIK PIANO 1.5
  • If you have FM7 you need to upgrade to FM8
INTAKT and KOMPAKT are discontinued and not compatible with Intel based Macs.  However, their libraries can be loaded into the full versions of KONTAKT 3 or KONTAKT 4 and the free KONTAKT PLAYER.

For further information on this topic, please read the related article "INTAKT, KOMPAKT and KONTAKT PLAYER 1 discontinued".

If you do not have an Intel-Mac (so you have a PPC-Mac)

or you are sure that you have an Intel-compatible AudioUnit plug-in installed

Make sure to have the latest update for the plug-in installed. Start Logic, go to the AU manager of Logic (Logic>Settings) and check that the plug-in is displayed there. Make sure that the expected version of the plug-in is displayed (re-install the latest update if necessary, possibly after manually deleting the AudioUnit plug-in file before). Then rescan the plug-ins by the AU manager.
