How can I use my 3rd-party sample library products with my Intel Mac?
There are many 3rd-party sample library products on the market from various manufacturers using NATIVE INSTRUMENTS software sample players, including INTAKT, KOMPAKT, and the KONTAKT PLAYER 1 and 2. Any of these libraries can be loaded into KONTAKT 3 / KONTAKT 4 and th free KONTAKT PLAYER, as long as they are authorized (= activated with Service Center) on the computer. Using any of these library patches within KONTAKT 3.5 or higher is easy and straight forward:
Launch KONTAKT and click on the Libraries tab in the Files browser, then click on "Add Library". A prompt appears where you have to navigate to the appropriate library folder, then press "Choose". The library box will appear in the KONTAKT Libraries browser afterwards. When the product is not yet activated, a small "Activate " button appears in the top-right corner of the library box. When you click on it, SERVICE CENTER is started automatically. Follow the onscreen instructions in order to activate the library on the computer. When the activation is completed, restart Kontakt. After this, the patches can be loaded in KONTAKT.
If you continue with adding libraries, please be sure to quit Service Center before adding further libraries. Alternatively, you can add a number of libraries in Kontakt first, then start Service Center and activate these libraries at once.

You can load all of your INTAKT, KOMPAKT and KONTAKT PLAYER patches in this software version.
If you need more flexibility and dedicated editing options, you could purchase a full version of Kontakt 4, for example the KONTAKT 4 crossgrade.
This crossgrade is available for KOMPAKT, INTAKT or KONTAKT PLAYER customers from our online shop.

I followed everything, except that we can't use the old Registration tool anymore!! When I attempt to use that, it goes to a page that instructs me to use the new Service Center. My product is activated through Service Center only. When I attempt to load the content into Kontakt, I get the error message "The content you are trying to load is unregistered." So I'm at a loss here. :(
Hi John, thank you for the hint. The Registration Tool actually does not work anymore. All activation processes are handled by the Service Center now. I changed that in the article. Please see the Related Article Section also, in case you still can not get it to load in KONTAKT.
